kitchen cabinets – Painting?

My kitchen cabinets are very solid and a nice design consultant I think, but they are probably 20. I do not know exactly what they are "painted" with, but it seems like a kind of enamel on the oven or something. It was certainly not brush painted. Anyone have experience with these? What should I do to paint them since the get prepared?

Here is a step by step plan to paint the kitchen cabinets. Use oil base paint for a durable finish. Painting cabinets requires much patience and attention to detail. What you need is high quality acrylic paint scrapers for wood sanding block of wood putty Screwdriver Brush ribbon masking tape or painter's drop cloths wooden support blocks Instructions: 1. Decide what parts of each cabinet you will paint. Usually, you only need to paint the posts (framing pieces), the drawer sides, and one side of the door. You can also paint the back door and inside cabinets. (Plan to cover the bottom shelves and drawers with shelf paper.) 2. Remove doors and drawers amounts. 3. Fill, sand, and the first. Carefully examine the surfaces of cracks and holes, paint does not cover such imperfections. Scrape and sand the bumps and scratches and fill gaps with wood putty. filling sand smooth. Prime old enamel surfaces with a primer based alkyd. 4. Painting doors and drawer faces. Set on canvas drawers. Paint interior surfaces, then work the outer surface 6. Allow sufficient time for the paint to dry before handling and assembly of furniture. When you're finished, you will have a surface that is almost as washable as the laminate. In case of material changes that you might need to fill the holes with putty and sand old wood before you begin the process paint. Hope this helps
