When cooking a roast in a pan, when can I add the potatoes?
Do I add them to the bottom of the roast at the beginning or do I add on top / sides of a few hours in the kitchen??? I've heard both ways and I wonder who is the best … If this helps, I do not intend of fry in a skillet and onion soup mix to use, salt, pepper and garlic in slow cooker … Thank you:) Thanks for all your suggestions – I roast in the casserole with the potatoes on top … Thank you again!
Brown I always roast my first. Put it on the bottom, then add the vegetables on top. Add the juices and cook over low heat 8 hours. I do mine with brown garlic salt and pepper. I would if I you mix the onion soup mix and water separately. He added on top.
